KAT70 Uncommanded rolling
Recently I purchased a Kat 70 after retiring my well liked Kat 40. I've finally been able to get it together and out to the field. I really like the way this aircraft flys except for one problem. When I roll and come back to level flight it wants to continue rolling that same direction. It does this rolling left or right. Originally I thought maybe my year old 645MG's were not centering so installed a couple new Futaba 3305's on 6volts. My aftermarket linkage is top quality and has no slop. This rolling is only gradual and can be trimmed out but its back and forth with the trim. So, this really doesn't make for an enjoyable time. Any ideas? Thanks for the help.

RE: KAT70 Uncommanded rolling
No ideas anyone? I'm stumped too as my first guess would have been servos or linkages. MIght want to check the rx or tx to make sure the actual PPM signal is not drifting due to bad pots in the tx or something. That would be rare but possible. Remember the tx has pots in the sticks just like the servos do. This characteristic is most likely electrical or mechanical in nature for sure....not the plane itself.

RE: KAT70 Uncommanded rolling
Thanks for your reply. The other day I did finally figure out what was going on. I used the heavy duty single bolt through control horns on the ailerons. After a closer inspection I found the bolt hole had gotten slightly elongated causing play. I removed these control horns and installed what came with the aircraft in the first place. Lesson learned thanks again for thinking about this issue.
