Is this a good combination or is the da to much?...............thanks

Not saying you couldn't do it, but I think it would be a lil much ( but hey, thats why there is a throttle.....right? LOL). The Giles is super lite (so lite in fact that I know of several electric ones out there). John's with the YS 1.40 on it has sick amounts of power if that helps you as a base line for power. This Giles is a AWESOME flying bird.

I agree with Steve. The Giles is very light at 10+ lbs and honestly putting something as powerful as the DA 50 on the nose would be torture on the airframe. The plane flies great with unlimited balistic power given the YS 1.4, OS 1.60, Saito 1.80, etc. Might look at the RCS 180 or similar 30-35 cc gassers. Bet they would be good combos.

it's more complicated than just using throttle management. The tremendous torque produced by this motor will actually hurt your maneuvers....
