I have 2 of the Venom SmartTemp failsafes, but I had problems with the temp lead that goes around the cooling head. I stick with the basic failsafes like the Duratrax or Ofna micro failsafe. But I did like the Venom when I was using it and the temp readings were only about 10 degrees off, just did not work out for me. I have read where other people have had much better luck with it.

I use the dynamite failsafes. They are ok, a little big, but im used to it already. One of them glitches every now and then in my MT2. I have to unplug it from the receiver and plug it back in again for it to work. Like I said, every now and then.

I believe the ofna one is the smallest. Makes locating it easier. I have the duratrax one and it seems to work great. It is very simple to program. Either of these should work fine. The ultimate choice is yours. What do you really want from your failsafe? If you feel that having the smartemp feature is to your liking then it may be worth the money to you but not to someone else.

Hope this helps!

i run the venow on my revo and works great
when you place the wire on the engine, i had to adjust mine up a few fins
to have the temp on the venom get within ten degrees of my handheld
but after that it worked slick
