Default Screwed Over Roto Start

hey guys, today i was trying to start my car and i actully ripped 3 gears off of a gear in the roto start. does anyone have any idea how i can start it now? ima haveto order a new roto cause my LHS doesnt have them i tried this drill we had lying arround but it only spun about 1/2 as fast and nothing happpened - any other way i could rin my car while im waiting for my new roto to be dielivered?

Get a better drill with a higher top speed, an adjustable clutch and reverse. Set it to reverse, set the clutch as low as possable and you should be good to go.
If you have not ordered a replascement Roto-start yet then check out the HotBodies Jump starters. They look exactly the same but seem to be a bit more reliable. At least mine has been.

ok ill look arround the basement yet and i was going to order the roto when my dad gets back this evening, also, does it work for the HPI MT2?

you could look up tiger drives one tower hobbies they have a lot of them and u can use da drill i use a 18.0 volt batt. on my drill and it can start in like less than 1 min.

also, should i maybe go for the roto start 2? it looks like if the engine locks up it stops, so that might protect it

i dont know if the 12 volt would be a lot of power to turn over the engine. what kind of engine do u got. because the roto start 2 only can work with certain kinds of engines.

i got the standard one that comes with the nitro MT2 from hpi its a stadium truck
