does anyone know if the stock lst2 motor will work with the traxxas bb kit?and i plan on using the rotostart because revo starter boxes are too expensive.

eddy, you got that right, Revo boxes are waaay too expensive.

Can you start a Revo on a standard bump box?
I have a starter box with an adjustable wheel, it can be moved to different locations in the box.
I am going to give it a try, maybe there is a way to figure it out. I am not to thrilled about buying another starter box. Why are Revo boxes so expensive anyway?

Check out Qoncepts site. There is a picture of a modded rear arm for use with pull/roto start. You will see what you will have to do to make it work.

dude, i'm going through the same problem as we speak. Rotostarts don't work with concept kit, only that sts 28 engine they talk about on there sight. I have a novarossi 528xr with a roto and no way will it work. ordered a new era kit, then i will be able to use the roto. We'll see..........

Keep us posted on this........ Im gonna be putting an STS .28 in my revo anyways, so it should work with the qoncepts, but i don't say i really like any of these setups yet..... Im not going to use a bump box, i'll fix my picco before i'll buy one of those....

Yeah, you can use a roto/pull start with New Eras kit. Heres how, they jack the motor up about an inch and angle it at such a degree to make it work. Its been said that they thought up a new throttle linkage and throttle return spring. I think the only way to make it work as good as factory is to jack up the throttle servo as high as they jack up the motor.

This is not good news!!!![:@] I just ordered the Qoncepts kit and was hoping to use the Roto by modding the a-arm like they have on there site. Maybe it only works with some engines??? I have a Wasp .28 with the New Era mount right now but, the throttle linkage is crap and I am to lazy to come up with a way to make it work. I will let you all know if it works out or not.

it only works with that wasp 28 they talk about on their sight. I'm waiting on the new era mount to mount my 528 nova with a roto. And if i hate the linkage, im gonna convert the engine into bump start, and run the concepts mount then. What a monkey motion mess this whole thing is.........

Aint that the truth.
I already went throught the whole New Era kit and am with the Qoncepts kit now. Much better fit finish and overall design. Plus, its a lot stronger.

Have any of you who ordered from qoncepts recently recieved your mounts yet?

Quinn helped me to pick my clutch shoes and clutchbell last week before ordering. I ordered the beginning of this week and am getting anxious. I'm hoping it will be here before the weekend...

about how long did it take for yours to arrive?

How do you like it so far?

so when the outer part of the motor mount [that bolts to the chassis] breaks, what replacement have you all used? i've already got the bb mount parts, but its the factory trx part that broke.[&:]

Traxxas has a motor mount kit that supplies everything, not sure of the part #. It has everything from the mounts to all hardware including motor mount screws.
