stay away from ofna, there tech support sucks, and if you have any warranty isues you'll be in serious trouble.

Traxxas makes good products.....in my opinion.

I would also check with your local hobby store to see what name brand parts they stock.

Have a traxxas and an Ofna. Traxxas quality better for me. Takes a likin' and keeps on tickin. Agree with C-M-O, check to see which parts are available locally. 4TEC with 2.5 way fast. Have fun.

With the power the 2.5 has in my Tmaxx, I can definitely believe the 60+ figure. Some posts here suggest may not be the best handling car around, but that kind of speed would make any car a little hard to handle.

just throw some turns into the equation and hope he hits something. hot body cars break like they are made of glass. and the 2.5 engine seems realy nice, unlike the trx .15 pro, any one have the 2.5? and have you had any problems? i was thinking about puting one in my v-one-s.

any 1/10 scale touring car at 60 mph will be hard to handle. Dual rate is a nice feature to have so you can limit the servo travel. i love it on my lynx 3d

The 4TEC is a very fast car (a friend of mine owns one), but it can't handle for s*it. I own a nitro rs4 2, and we raced going staight and he killed me. I then took out the cones and we did a slalom (I think that's how it's spelled ). I crushed him. He knocked down almost every cone. I think that the car can't handle all that power the 2.5 pumps out. With some $$$ and tuning(or just tons of practice), it probably can take control of that engine. I think you can beat your buddy on the straight line, especially if he crashes . BTW, Traxxas has a GREAT warrenty program. Good luck!

The only trouble I've had with the 2.5 is keeping it tuned for the ever changing freakin weather, and keeping the front wheels on the ground. I guess I wouldn't call the second part trouble.

RC39- the 2.5 is a beast. You won't be dissappointed. Its ridiculously powerful and is easy to tune...

yeah, they can get the t-maxx moving pretty quick! does anyone have a link to an exploded view. traxxas had a lot of problems with the schittie design of the pull start mechanism. i want to make sure they have the oneway bearing inside the case so the shaft doesnt spin all the time and wear out the bushing and leak air like the trx .15 .

In first gear maybe, but it does have 2nd
I wouldn't be underestimating the 2.5 if I were you. The older tmaxx was quite a bit slower. Not the new one.
