RE: Wheelie
The tranny has nothing to do with it... If you just want to wheelie, put in a 52T spur and 15T clutchbell and see what happens.
Even an out of tune .21 motor will wheelie with that combo.

RE: Wheelie
When my savage 25 still had the s-25 in it i found that the HPI ribbed pipe helped alot with wheelies but it made other things worse such as noise and half tank lean.

Mine is mostly stock and it looks like it has the potential to lift the wheels. I think if I cant tune it just right it starts to lightly lift the wheels but I have to be very carefull on the tuning. I think the stock tires are a bit to heavy tho. I have the Savage 25.[>:] It does have very nice top speed tho, but since I bought a Sirio 18 for my T-maxx, my maxx looks like its going 5-10mph faster now. Its wicked fast!!! But when I had the TRX, my Savage killed it on low end and high end[8D]

RE: Wheelie
The three speed has a lower first gear ratio, so it will wheelie easier than a two speed equipped truck with the same spur/clutchbell gearing.
Even with the three speed, tuned pipe, and stiff black springs, my stock LE would only occasionally wheelie until I upgraded the clutch. It would do roofslides from a dead stop after the switch.

When my s-25 savage RTR was stock, it wheelied all day. Stock air cleaner, stock pipe, stock clutch, stock shock oil, stock 2 speed tranny... but I had a 52t spur rather then the stock 49t. I've got it on video. If only i knew how to post it!

No, so that if you suffer from half tank lean it means that you engine wont run lean when you reach 1/2 tank. The engine runs slightly richer with a full tank, so when the tank is half empty the engine is lean. If you tune with 1/2 tank of fuel then the engine will never run lean, but it will be rich when you have a full tank.

Thanks for clearing that up.
