on road tires for XXXNT
so as not to wear off the knobs on the rear tires, i went to the shop the other day and bought a pair of proline speed hawg tires. according to the guy at the shop, he said leave the factory front blades on and run the street tires on the back. once i got home i discovered that the street tires are smaller diameter. that isnt how it should be run is it? im thinkin i need to go back and get another set of tires for the front. thanks for any help.

It will not hurt a 2 wheel drive truck to run smaller tires in the back. You don't want to run different sizes on a 4wd truck. If the looks bother you get the same tire for the front or get bigger ones for the back and put the ones you have on the front.

The stock clutch bell should be 18t.
Yes, this is for more speed. But with the smaller tires the top speed will be about the same as stock. If you put the small tires on and go out on the street you will rev your engine right into the ground. You'll have ballistic acceleration but no top end at all.
