Default fail safe

Ok i have run electrics for about year, I went out and picked up hpi savage monster truck kit ss and almost put it together. I decided i want to put a fail safe in my truck. If some peps; in the forums could pls point me in the right direction on which companies work well. I am using a standard futaba radio.

And also does it matter which temperature gauge i get.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

I use the OFNA Micro Fail Safe. I like it... it works well and has never screwed me up. Nice presentation too...

For temp gauge... I use a Blue Point Laser Infrared Temp Gun. Helps that I use it for work too (mechanic). It's very accurate... and cool too!

Sanp on are very good for those sort of things, but are really expensive. I have been using the HPI one and have found no problem with it.

Also, I think snap on have a lifetime warranty dont they?

Yeah, I'd sell it too...Well, really, I never would have bought it.
All you read about those things is people having trouble with them.

Stick with a failsafe only. The OFNA is good and so is the Duratrax one. For a temp gun I use the Duratrax one. It's inexpensive and pretty accurate too.

Ofna micro failsafe is top notch quality. Stay away from the XTM models, they are very large and mine came defective making my radio glitch and running my car WOT into a wall I have the OFNA on my T-maxx and it is really good and its smaller than a penny so it doesnt take up any space. Cheers, Tom.[8D]

Inside the radio box. Outside and it may get wet or dirty. Bigger ones wont fit, then you have a problem.
