No...the only thing that it'd be good for (if it's electric) is for the tranny to put into a TLT.

well you can always get another tranny and make a 4x4 pede with the right motors, locking the diffs you would be able to crawl
here is just a few pics of mine when it was still assembled the chasis is custom built and it had 4 wheel sterring using stock traxxas parts from two stampede trucks

you need 4wd, ground clearance, which the rustler doesnt have. And to have a good rock crawler, you need solid axles!
Oh yeah, a 4-link suspension!

i totally encourage you to try this, that is what rock crawling is all about, custom[sm=49_49.gif]
You basically just need a good idea, and a chassis that will hold everything together. I have seen some really interesting things done before. Good luck, and keep us posted on what is going to happen!!

You can buy a tlt-1 and use your radio, esc, rear shox , front wheels ,and tranny to build a nice crawler , Gary

To make 4 link you could replace the shocks with turnbuckles to lock them in the down position, that will give you good diff clearance. Then all you have to do is figure out some suspension geometry and make the links.

it would be okay, maybe a little fast, look in to a 35 or 45 turn motor.

Should be fine to start if you gear it low.
