Decathlon Floater
Well I finally finished (except paint) a set of scratch built floats for my GP Decathlon 40. Weather permitting I'll get to try it out tomorrow, at least off the snow. There won't be any liquid water around here for a few more months. What do you guys think:

Decathlon Floater
Looks nice.
However, it will look more like a full size floatplane when you put a "bumper" or something onto the nose of the floats, add the wing struts and get rid of the tailwheel.
As a full size floatplane pilot, I must say it is not usual to see a full size floatplane with a tailwheel attached. It doesn't do anything so off it comes. A flying boat, like a Sea Bee, whel that's different. Those guys are sort of stuck with them.
Anyway, well done, nonetheless. Enjoy as soon as you get that open water!
