RE: stampede crawler
Independant and 2wd truck dont make good crawlers. Sure you could put a rear end on the front and make it 4wd but it depends how much you want to put into it, and it would still be independant suspension. You could go for more of a hill climber

RE: stampede crawler
a stampede will get "stuck on a bannana peel" when compared to 4x4 trucks. Your kinda starting your self off for failure... crawling is all about traction and forward bite... without 4WD you have no forward bite in the front..and it will be hard enough to just get the front wheels over a rock.. let alone get the rest of the truck over with only 2 wheels pushing. I think that a stampede CAN be used for crawling with a lot of work, but will still be inferior to a tlt or clod. If you dont want a tlt or clod, maybe your just looking to be different, at least get 4WD. I use my e-maxx... It has independent suspension, but you would be surprised what it can do.

RE: stampede crawler
Well MAYBE if any of you knew anything about crawling, you would know that a 2WD Independent Suspension rig isn't the good basis for a crawler.
Were as the TLT IS the basis for about 95% of all 2.2 crawlers.
So I DID indeed help him!
Now for the NON crawlers who like to add their 3 cents, get a clue!

Sorry, that was directed at a few of the post above your.
You more than likely can use the ESC.
The motor probably not as it will have to many RPM.
As for the servo, it too will probably be lacking in the torque needed for crawling.
Now, a 55t Integy lathe motor is really cheap as motors go ($16.00 - $24.00) and work extremely well.
For a steering servo, the Tower Pro MG955 servo, is rated at over 200 oz's. and runs about $25.00 on e-bay.
Need anything else, please PM me.
