someone gave this car and i need some help . i dont know anything about it just know it runs on nitro has a pull start.
im not sure where to get info on it . i got it to start but it runs full throttle and i cant get the carb to adjust to make it idol
i kinda stuck at this point right now so can someone please help me out here

Post some pictures so we can identify the rc.

There is an idle adjustment screw just below the throttle opening (below the airfilter neck). There should be a 1 mm minimum opening on the carb, even when brakes applied. It should not close.

Now we're cooking. I suggest going to HPI's website and down loading the manual for the savage. actually, not that I think about it there are like 4 or 5 different versions and I'm not qualified to figure out which one you have. www.hpiracing.com go check this out while someone who knows better can help you determine what species of beastie you have.

All Savages are basically the same and most parts are interchange able. The biggest changes have been in the new version the X. If it has the alloy roll bar it is the older version. Yes first thing is to down load the manual or get pictures to help tell what Savage it is which is sometime hard to do. I have a Savage with well over 7 gallons or run time on it and it has been a great truck.

yeh download the manual or u can remove the airfilter and you will find a hole with a wall that slides open as you open the carby. find a screw that adjusts this wall so it leaves about a 1mm or 1/16th gap for the air to get through.
