and a nice at that too ![8D]

Good luck with her . ( bet its gonna be hard sitting there , watching it collect dust till the water softens up a bit [] )

Hummm .... looks like someone knew what to use there on that boat .
Is that a Bob A prop there ? 6717/3 maybe ?
For a first boat .... OVER KILL ...
be careful ..... theres PLENTY there to handle .

Yeah .... first and foremost :

1) HAVE fun !
2) if interested in becoming a racer with that ( since it IS a racing boat setup ) might want to check out JIMS BOAT DOCK . Theres lots of GOOD guys there ( and a "few" smart*****'s as well [&o][>:] ) that would help you when you get to the pond .
3) learn your boat and how it handles BEFORE cracking that throttle WOT .
60 is FAST . try at aprox 1/2 throttle max till you learn her a bit .
( kinda like a woman here ... at first you have to treat them nice and gentle ... then , after you learn them ... THEN , WOT !

4) Again , most important thing - HAVE FUN

( and do NOT forget to do your PM - preventive maintance , EACH time before , or after running her . )

NO .... no WD , unless your storing for the winter .
I always check strut ( in your case - stinger ) bushings for any looseness/wear , I double check my flex for any abnormalities before greasing . Make sure when done running for the day , you leave your piston in the DOWN stroke ( no comp ) . Check prop nut to make sure she's nice and tight . ( I use LOCK TIGHT on mine - blue each time I switch props )
gets expensive dropping props down to Davy Jones Locker .
Also , if your flex , where it goes into your collet is NOT tinned , I would toss some regular solder on the tip - the edge that goes into the collet only ( do NOT over-heat your flex if you do this ) . Find it helps when you keep removing and replacing the flex back to grease , that it stops it from crimping down ONLY on the flex , causing it to spread .
ALWAYS , check your radio gear ( failsafe included ) BEFORE and AFTER each use for the day . And cycle your batts ( if applicable ) ( I install little light emitting diodes - AKA - L.E.D's to show that my RX is on - certain folks do not use a failsafe , which is TOTALLY not understood by myself .... but hey , what can I say . )
AND .. if you use it , re-soak your radio gear ( RX , servo's and failsafe ) with Corrosion X , that way if your radio box DOES leak - which most DO .. , then your DOUBLE protected against a disaster .
Last but NOT least ....
when you go out for your first time ... make sure to get us ALL some video of her

Enjoy it ... you've got a heck of boat there !

Remember above all else - PLAY SAFE ( for yourself , AND others nearby ! )

WD makes it really hard to start which could lead to a short day due to blisters on your starting fingers. I use after run too and it works fine.

make a prop box and store your props you dont want it all dinged up.
