stadium truck is cheap to get into. ANd they are extremely fun, agile and fast. Being RWD makes u concentrate harder and when u move onto 4WD it will be so easy to drive, its alot different yes, but when i moved from ST to MT i was amaized at how easy to control the MT was with the 4WD. For budget racing, ST is the cheapest

If your track races minis you could get a cheap Truggy.... [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNYV5&P=RF]Trinity NEXT[/link]
I have been driving the Trinity NEXT for a while and it is a great truck. I don't race but if your track has a mini class (or lets you race this with the big guns) this would be a good racer for the prise IMO.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that this truck is upgradeable... You can get metal diffs and a 2-speed for example.

I've seen a lot of ready to run used Losi NT Stadium trucks lately for around $130.. I'd think that would be a great way to go for a budget Nitro off-road. They're proven to be a great racer and with a price like that, how could you go wrong
