Default i have a question for all of you science guys out there about nitromenthenol

i was just wondering since nitrogen and oxygen make nitrousoxide does nitrogen and methane make nitromethenal?? thanx for any replies sorry about the off topic post

yeah, its called nitromethane though

EDIT: but to make it its alot more complicated than just mixing the two though (don't ask me how I don't even begin to know)

Believe it or not, nitro is made from propane.

riight, nitro is not simply mixed with methanol.... buttt in nitro methane content, the methanol is something like 1-2%, same as nitro propane, if im thinkin riight here.....

They are all pretty much the same thing.. just off by a few elements, so even though they are quite different in the way they interact with oxygen, they all fall into the exact same class of chemicals.

and they all produce NOx when burned.. SMOG!

they are off more than by just chemicals, the carbons in their elements, such as methanol and propane, have totally different structures and links. mainly the carbon structures...when it is burned, co is produced or however
you would say...... carbon mono-(meaning 1 part) oxide (oxide is just a shortened term) for 1 part oxygen
