Default Esky Honeybee CP2-how do I replace tail motor?

Hi,

I need to replace the tail motor on my CP2, and have removed the tiny screws holding the motor on the mount. Now, how do I remove the pinion gear so that I can completely remove the motor?

Thanks!

you should be able to just pull the motor through the mount with the pinion on. If you cannot, you get a pinion puller, but make sure it has an end for a really small shaft, I think the tail is about 1mm

Desolder the wires, noting polarity, then reinstall the new one and make sure the prop comes up over the top and then goes down underneath, so counter clockwise when looking at the heli from the right. Also make sure that it blows the wind from left to right.

if your old motor is crapped out and you need the gear, just get some wire cutters and grip the shaft not cut it then pry it off. You will bend the shaft but it should come off. then just tap the gear on to the new motor. Most of the motors come with the gear i think.
