Default T-maxx transmission troubles

I'm not a total noob, but this is the first time I have had to do major repairs on this truck. I have just the basic t-maxx. Looking to eventually upgrade to either the 2.5 or even the new 3.3. But, currently my truck has no forward or reverse. I have taken the transmission apart many times and cannot find any gears that have meshed or broken teeth. It still very clean and well greased. Is there somewhere else that I should be looking on the truck for the root of my problem? Or, do I need to just start replacing gears and where the best place to find parts and a build diagram?

Is the spur gear spinning when you give it gas?

Yeah, in fact I just put on a new aluminum spur gear about 4 months ago and thats about when it stopped working. Would the fact that it was an aluminum spur gear effect it at all?

I run the rrp aluminium spur with good results. When your engine is running have you noticed if the drive shafts are turning? Could it be your diffs are blown? I bet if this started when you changed spurs that you do not have the slipper adjusted right or you dont have your friction pegs in the spur gear. I would check these first and see what is going on there. Get back with us and tell us what you find out.

I am 99% sure your slipper is too loose. Tighten it all the way then back it out a 1/4 turn and you should be up and running.

Check the slipper and diffs first. If they're ok then pull the transmission apart and replace the owb that rides on the main input shaft. If you've got a Pro.15 Maxx then that's likely to be your problem.
It's part #4986 if you want to look on an exploded diagram.
It's about a $22 part.

Thanks for all of everyones input. I played with the slipper today and I now have reverse but no forwards. Any idea where I could find an exploded diagram? I bought it used so I have no documentation anymore.

make sure your maxx is perfetly level and not moving. sometimes it will stick in one gear and you will have to switch it back and forth til it goes. My first t-maxx did this and that's what I had to do.

Well I have now had a forced solution to my original problem. The servo for my forward and reverse burned out on me. I've decided that it would be easier to just disengage reverse and stick with just forwards. Any idea how I might do this? I have the exploded diagrams now (thank you blackoutsi)
