Air filter?
i want to do some performance upgrades for my t-maxx without spending too much money. would buying a bigger air filter improve performance at all? also, how much power would you gain by installing a new pipe?

RE: Air filter?
for the airfilter, ive got a ofna 1/8 filter. i dont really see any dramatic improvement, but it sure decrease the time you need to clean it.

RE: Air filter?
yes, if you can get more air into the engine with a bigger airfilter you can run the engine richer, relulting in more power. I run a motor-saver airfilter with an outerwears pre-filter, and I noticed some differrence in power, and I only have to clean the filter like every half-gallon, I just shake off the pre-filter, it stops most of the dirt, and it's water-proof.
EDIT: it's water repelant, though when water gets on it it beads up and falls off.
