Are the blades on the Skylark suppose to be loose?
I just got my first chopper. (A Skylark-smarttech) I can't seem to fully tighten the main blades. Are they suppose to have the ability to angle back like an inch or two from the attatchment point? Is this to protect the blades in case of a crash?
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks

you do NOT want to tighten them all the way tight! they should be loose enough to align themselves when they spin, but not to loose and flop around like a well oiled hinge.

question about when you had to change the remote settings to mode 1 from mode 2
hay oosel one more question, when you switched the springs around in the gws remote that comes with the skylark so the throttle side that has no spring would be on the left side.
then which plug in things did you have to switch around that plug into the receiver, like the top one and the third one down, or like the the second one down and the forth one down.
in this kind of way of switching which one of the 4 plug ins did you have to switch around.and if you know tell me which ones you switch from top to bottom to get the mode 1 feel.
if you understand please respond and thanks for your help

from top to bottom on board
1= lower servo
2= the higher servo
3= the lower wire from board
4= the higher wire from board
hope this makes sense. you should have seen my trial and error lol.

OK thanks I understand and this will save me a lot of time
hay and one last question did you use training gear when you flew for the first few times because i want to know how long you had your training gear if you had it or how long would you recommend to have it. would something like out to the blades , smaller than the blades, or bigger than the blades be good.
again thanks for your time oosel.

well i practiced on a greatplanes real flight simulator for a long time before i even thought about geting a heli. so i didnt need the training gear. but i would deffinitly fly it on tile or something slippery, that keeps it from tiping over and breaking things lol. carpet in a bad idea it tips very easy if it gets any traction. now i havend tried this but i would try to soda straws for training gear there light and can flex and add cushion to a hard landing ( thats just my opinion ) or at the most a couple very small doll rods from a local hardware! i wouldent think they would have to go out as long as the blades i would cut them shorter myself. but try them long at first you can allways cut them down. but also consider the weight factor.
