Default CF tail tubes

I'm looking for a 5/8" CF tail tube for my 36% Edge, but I'm not sure who sells them. I've looked at TNT and Troy Built but there is no mention on their web site of them.
Is there any where else i can get them?

Thanks

Default CF tail tubes

I contacted CST and got this reply:

"If you are using this tube for the joiner/ we suggest you use Carbon Wrapped Tube Item # T160 @ $16.80 a ft. If it is to used as a joiner rod/we suggest you use Carbon Rod(solid) Item# T260 @ $15.85 a ft."

Which of these 2 items would be the one I am looking for or is there another product?

Thanks,

Kelvin.

I looked into a CF stab tube for my 33% plane and if memory serves me, it only saves 1 oz. On ounce is an ounce but something to consider.

(I also picked up a CF tailwheel assembly for my plane at the WRAM show. I weighed it against my Ohio Haigh style and the CF was only 1 oz lighter. Little disappointed for the money.)

I ordered the T160 today, and like you said OTE, it might only save an ounce, but I have also ordered the CF tailwheel from TNT and if that saves another once, well I'm 2 ahead. I also have a CF gear coming that should be half the weight of the oem and I also plane to put in CF servo plates, tank plates and might replace the main wing tube also. If I can save half a pound or more on everything, that would be cool.

The gear is where you can save the most weight. I went from 1lbs 2 oz down to 8 oz with the CF gear! (AW 33% 540T)

My wing tube went from 9 oz down to 7 oz.

And the CF tialwheel assem. dropped the weight from 3.5oz to 2.5 oz.

Just be careful on the CF gear. I already had a set delaminate on me on the 10th flight. Graphtech replaced them with what they say is a much better, stronger (and lighter) set. I'll fine out when the snow melts. Just take your aluminum gear set to the field with you as a backup just in case.

Best of luck.........Mark
