50cc and Above Clean Install Pictures Please
Hello everyone.
I am getting ready to install the gear in my WH Sukhoi and I am interested in seeing some pictures of the inside of your airplanes. I am looking for inovative and or just clean installs. In particular, I am looking at installs concerning battery and regulators. I have 2 TBM 2600 Li-Ion batteries and 2 fromeco regulators with an AR9000 Spektrum rx. I have wire bundle keepers, foam, zip ties. I just want to produce a clean effective install with nothing really bouncing around inside.
Thanks in advance for all the advice and pictures.
I know there are some of you that are very proud of your installs, so please show them off and share your tricks and techniques.
I have posted a picture of the canvas I have to work with.

You can get these black rubber grippers that hold fuel line and servo cables. You just med CA them down to the wood. They are very nice for holding things in place and look good too.
Third of the way down. Wire bundle keepers. They are especially good for keeping the fuel lines off the sharp thin ply edges.

why don't you just start looking through build threads? Would be a lot quicker... I dont hang on to pics from an old build there is no need.

Believe me I have searched and searched for several hours and have seen several build threads. I haven't seen a ton of pictures with the fromeco regs installed. That was the reason for asking for folks to show their installs. I have been through every single post in both WH Sukhoi and Sukette threads here and on DOD and The Flying Giants and Team Flying cirkus.

Thanks E-Mo. Nice view of the Fromeco Regs... I have seen one or two that have them screwed down and couldn't see the actual mounting with foam.

Here's one of mine. The whole wooden tray is velcro'd on top of a couple foam pads. You also need to put foam under the wire end of the regs to keep vibration from cracking the PC Board. The batteries go on the two wooden trays in front of the RX tray. I checked balance very carefully before I put any of this is the plane. Throttle and choke servos go where the holes in the battery cross-member is... the fit under the fuel tank and I use precision rod from there to the engine.
Hope it helps

I cut out some ply wood plates to raise them up a little and then used silicon fuel tubing under each screw. They are free floating, but are mounted firmly. The tray is removable also.

On your original post, I see the tanks up behind the firewall. I would personally have them
mounted as close to, or right on the CG. My .02.

Thanks Torq. They aren't mounted. They are just laying in there.... The picture was to show how much room I thought I had in the fuse.... Key word "thought".
