Default wild hare 41% extra 300 maiden

my new wild hare 41% extra is finished and i put several flights on it to day before and after some needed rain. i have read many post with guys saying there planes only needed one click of trim but i never had a new plane that only need one click,,,,until this one. one click of down and that was it, straight as a string and as far as i can tell the engine thrust is spot on. it was windy to day so a few more flights on a calm day will tell more.
this plane flys like it is on rails and didn't do anythin stupid. knife edge had very little coupling. i started getting comfortable with it on the first flight it felt so locked in. if any of you guys are on the fence about buying a wild hare get off of the fence and call tom. he is a good guy to deal with and he sells great airplanes at a very good price.

I have vitually the same setup as you but I never got to weigh mine... glad they are comng out light. Sure flies light.

I was also very impressed with the thrust-line. I've never had one so spot-on.

My ridder to elevator mixes... 0% in one direction and 1% in the other. Very linear rudder too. 5% differential did the trick. I also have 1% down elevator to the last click of throttle... downlines are immaculate.

I'm using a Mej 30x12 prop... climbs like a rocket at partial throttle.

congrats on the maiden, not sure if you have but you may want to consider a carbon wing and stab tube. I swear by them now and on my 28% WH Extra they help shed some weight.

try the cf rods if you have not, depending how much over 29lbs you are you might hit the 28'ish area

good luck and congrats

the 41% daddy rabbit comes with the carbon tubes, but i will be getting the carbon landing gear and a rcblimp tail wheel soon.
the wind was blowing pretty hard sunday so i didn't set up any mixes, to be honest i was having to much fun just flying the plane to take the time for setting up mixes. i will get to it in the next few days.

Sillyness, do you know where your CG is? Which location did you use for the wing (forward or rear)?

i swapped the cans for stock DA mufflers, i didn't like not hearing my engine when harriering and landing. now the extra weighs in at 37 lbs and 13 oz, and flys as light as a feather. i have over 20 flights on her now and i think she is getting used to me. haha!
i have the cg just behind the wing tube using the front tube slot.
