OS 18tz piston and sleeve in an 18tm case?
OS 18tz piston and sleeve in an 18tm case? Anyone know if this will work or are the internals on the engines different and would see no power improvement?

Well the 18tm is a rear exhaust motor while the 18tz is a side exhaust. The ports on the sleeves will not match up. Intake may be the same but exhaust ports will be different. So no it wont work.

The TZ is not a side exhaust engine? I don't know if this would work but, one things for sure it's not the exhaust port that will stop you.

I tried it it works pretty well you do need to open the exhaust on the block a little but it will work. but what i fond out was the porting on the TZ was different from the TM so the fuel flow is a little different so you wont get as much power from the TM block as you would form the tz which is made for the sleeve. but you will see a improvement in overall power. I asked the same question about 3 months ago but no one here decided to help me so i was like F this I figured it was only $80 and worse come worse i would port it then sell it for $100 on ebay.

I appreciate the response, thanks alot. I think i'll just hold out and get a TZ or a Picco 26.
