OS Max 61V GS R-1 with propeller reduction Gear
OS Max 61V GS R-1 with propeller reduction Gear on eBay now.
First one of these that I've seen.
Here's the specs he has given:
OS Max 61V With Propeller Reduction Gear GS R1 MIB. No.7F Carburettor, bore 24MM, Stroke 22MM CC 9.95 cc, weight 810 grams. Reduction ratio /1.391. Engine is new in box.

First VR..
I've seen them with the VF case..if you look at some of the other pics you'll see where the carb can go on the reduction housing...the one coming out the side, not the one out the bottom in the pic you posted.
I don't know what his reserve is..it was at $126 when I looked and not yet met. Last NIB reduction unit I saw went for about that with no engine, but it was for the VF.
It would be a neat collector item, I don't think I would run it.

Way back when...
Back before there were the large engines we take for granted today, this was what your option was if you wanted to fly a larger plane.
Now days it would be pretty weak and heavy compared to just about anything else.
Which is why it wouldn't even meet the guys reserve..it's nice if you are a collector of obscure OS engines, but as a practical item, it would make a great paper weight.
I would love to have it, but I hate to fish for a reserve price.
I would much rather have a VR ABC without the drive if I was gonna use it...
