desertaircraft.com I think you have to cut them yourself, very easy to do with dremel tool.

So does everyone discount the advice that spinners need to be precision cut to maintain their balance? Or is this a thorny oft-argued issue that I should just do a search for?

To answer your question, absolutley not, after you finish cutting your spinner put it on a balancer & check it, make adjustments where needed.

To answer the question on balance of a spinner yes and no on balancing them. I balance all of my props dont you but almost all of the manufacturers say they are balanced right????? Not
But as to the cutting and balance of a carbon spinner the weight is so little on a carbon spinner that I have not found a need to balance the carbon spinner. If you were to cut an aluminum spinner you would have to balance it yes, but Carbon do not see a need to. Also to answer your Question of where to get them IShould have carbon spinners for sale in a couple of weeks 5 inch will be 110.00 and 4 1/2 will be 105.00 4 inch will be 95.00. Here is a picture of a prototype but the colors may or may not be available and would be higher in price.

before you go spending your money on zn line or other carbon fiber spinners check out www.petemodel.com

this guy makes carbon fiber spinners that IMO are just as good as the ZN line and cost half the price! he's a great guy and will predrill and cut the spinner for your prop
