Default Trash in Carb...Need Help Fast!!!

Hey guys, Im beginning my trip to Houston tomorrow and Ive got a small problem. Ive got as small sliver of fuel tubing stuck in my carb body. And unfortunately it is not where it can be gotten to.

I have tried to blow it out with various methods and even tried burning it out with a torch.....which by the way yielded the best results. The motor does run now with the small amount burned out but theres still a little left in the carb as the motor runs lean/hot no matter how far out the needle is.

Is there anything I can soak the barb in overnight that will disolve the trash that Im almost certain is fuel tubing?

HELP ME...Its on my PBF and I gotta have my PBF at the PRO-BRO event. :drowning:

Default What carb??

Usually it can be flushed out by pulling the needle and running the fuel pump on it. Let me know what kinda carb it be..I might have one I can either bring or look at and try to get an idea.

Have you pulled your carb apart? Usually if you do that, you can get to any crap that's in there.. Where in the body is it? You could pull the needle valve and run some really thin music wire down the tube. (Been there done that!) I know gasoline disolves slilcone, it's just a matter of how long would it take, and what would it do to the rest of the engine?

Let us know what you figure out.

Default Trash in Carb...Need Help Fast!!!

Ahhhhh....what the H***........dont worry about my carb anymore. Thanks to my infinite wisdom and the hot flame of my propane torch I was able to determine the exact temperature that a TT 42 carb begins to distort.....or melt...which ever!!! But you know what...I forgot to record that exact temp...Dohhhh!!!

I will be bringing the extra carb barrell with the correct throttle arm position so as to ease the process of swapping the carb from my Magic to my PBF.
