Governor TailRotor
Would it be possible?
A person could set up a motor on the tail to start when the main motor throttle is advanced. Then the governor could hold a constant rpm and then a Variable Pitch Prop system could be connected through a servo to a gyro. This would remove the requirement of a belt driven tail or a torque tube tail.
Anyone wanna give it a go? Has it been done?

RE: Governor TailRotor
yeah, it's probably possible, but I haven't seen it done as of this far =)
Mostly it's the same idea as a belt or shaft drive, but with a motor instead.
One of the biggest obsticals you would have once you get the technical and mechanical parts setup is that the heli will probably be very tail heavy.

RE: Governor TailRotor
Well. why bother with the mechanical pitch linkage's.
Why not just speed up or slow down the motor as
needed.?
Wait.....that's how the do it on Blade CP's.
Oh well, it WAS a good idea...sort of.
