Default TL-01 Gear Problems

hey all,

ive recently bought a tamiya sports tuned motor and im using the tamiya speed tuned gear set and a 23T pinion gear. My problem is that the 23T pinion gear doesnt touch the other gears inside the car (the speed tuned gears) so it doesnt move at all. So wot i did was replaced the 23T with a 19T pinion and it works fine. My question is.. will the gears eat each other out cuz the motor is 23T and the gear is 19T... and why is the 23T motor + 23Tpinion + speed tuned gear not working (not touching) for my TL-01.

cheers!

Default RE: TL-01 Gear Problems

Did you put the motor in using the correct mounts. According to the manual you should use the hole on the far right for the upper and far left hole on the bottom. This is with the standard gears, not sure how the speed tuned gear set affects the mounting positions. If you bought the gear set new it usually will tell you the holes you need to use for what pinions in the directions. The motor itself shouldn't affect your gear mesh.
