Twin landing gear
OK I got a question. Have any of you guys ever tried using conventional aluminum gear on boom twins? It looks to me that the weight of the booms and engines would make the plane tip over easy.

Twin Boom Landing Gear
Try a set of gear designed for profile planes. They come in two separate pieces (left and right). Mount one half in each fuselage. I agree that the plane would easily tip over with the gear concentrated under the center.

On my twin ugly stick,I put one half of the original gear on each fuse half. Yes, I agree that the proposal would tip too easy. Of course uneven gravity wave induced,,,,never the pilot!!!

Uneven gravity, never heard of it, Gravity Wells are another subject.
The advantages of wide gear would far outway any installation ease of having a single gear in the center

"Uneven gravity, never heard of it, "
Yes, it's true and well documented. It's called gravity surges. You can see it in affect at the exit of your local bar. Usually they are strongest at 2AM or when the bar closes.
OK I found what you mean. Yeah this will work a lot better! Thanks!

Speaking of avatars, does whomever know you've posted his picture, pretending it's you? If he finds out, beware the lawyers!

PS: Did I ever thank you for the F7F I'm using? If not, thanks. wr.

Oh I finally got a comment on this weeks avatar! That's Carl Goldberg! I got two Air Trails mags from 1950 and his pic was in an ad. I'm not pretending that it's me. I've put him up in admiration.

OK Mitch,
You hung the baited hook and I bit. But I still think I got a good slam in when I did bite.
Wouldn't it be nice to have present income with 1950's prices?
Bill.

What I think is funny is that back then people used engines that ran off gas and had spark plugs. All these years have passed and now the big guys use engines that run off gas and have spark plugs.
