no one can answer this?
since the hump packs i see are 6.0 volts, which is equal to 5x AA, is the same thing as connect 5 AA togther and connecting the on/off switch and rx plug?
i have many 1800nimh AA batteries now and want to make my own hump pack. couldnt you just get something like the battery tray for you radio but in a 5cell format?
is there a difference in using batteries in line like the radio (it has 4 rows of 2 AA) and using 8 AA layed out flat?
Can you use 4 batteries in a line of 2 and have a 5th one in a line of one?
you knwo what if i modified a bettery holder out of something else does it matter how the batteries lay? does the odd(5th) battery affect anything? if you lost look at this image
any info would be helpfull
heres my idea if i lost you

You need to connect the batteries in series (positive to negative).
If you want to use a 6 cell tray, you will need to run a wire from the positive to negative terminals for one of the battery slots.
