I use a filter I got from the local lawnmower shop. It has a paper element. Make sure the ends will fit into the tubing you use. I use EasyFlex tubing from AeroTrend. The stuff works great. I also use tie-wraps on all my connections to be sure that nothing comes loose.

hangar 9 makes a great filter,it's made of aluminum with a removable screen for easy cleaning and rubber o rings for sealing. It's also a larger diameter so it works great for gas engines,no fuel restriction.

If you start with a clean tank and fuel lines in your plane you don't need a filter. Get one of the automotive type fuel filters and filter the outlet of your gas can. I've done this for years and never had any trouble with trash clogging the carburetor screen.

Using the HP filter. Works great. I use a filter on everything. Its amazing how a little piece of dirt, grass, silicone, plastic...... can get stuck in that little needle valve!
