DX7 elevator dual servo programming
I have a Seagull Super Star ARF that I am putting together. This plane has the elevator and rudder servos in the rear of the aircraft. It has two elevator servos and one rudder servo. I have opted to move the rudder servo to inside of the radio compartment and run pull-pull cabling.
The elevator, on the other hand, I am going to keep as they are with the two servos back there in the rear.
Now, I am running the DX7 system and an AR7000 RX. I have two options for the servos: 1. use a reversing Y connector and a single RX channel (obviously the elevator channel), or, 2. program the system to operate with the reversing setup for one of the servos so that they both operate in the same direction as the elevator needs..
My question is this: How do I program the system to work without the need of the Y harness? I know that this will requrie two equal length servo extensions and plugged into two separate RX channels. I just need to know what channels are recommended (yeah, the elevator is one, but what other channel is preferred, or does it matter?) And then, what do I do on the TX to allow for this servo reversal process?
Update:
I just found this: http://www.horizonhobby.com/ProdInfo...amming-air.pdf
Is that applicable for the Spektrum DX7?
Thanks.

Yes, you can do this, but use these instructions:

http://www.rcaerobats.net/Spektrum/d...tor_mixing.htm
Also, more info on the DX7:

RE: DX7 elevator dual servo programming
CG,
Short version
Use elevator and AUX 2 channel.
Set the AUX 2 switch to Inhibit using the system menu to make sure you dont accidentally get full elevator one side!
Use Mix 5 or Mix 6 to mix Elevator to Aux 2 (100% up and down). These mixes allow the trims to work on both channels
You may need to experiment to get + and - the right way, also you may need to reverse the Aux2 channel.
I have this working on a 30% Edge540 and am in the process of setting up my ESM FW190 the same way. Works just fine.

Did you get it to work? I couldn't figure out how to set the switch and trim to INH on mine and finally gave up and bought a reversing Y harness.

RE: DX7 elevator dual servo programming
That programming is not correct for the DX7, that is for the 8103.
In program mix 5 or 6, set up an elevator to aux 2 mix, setting the rates to 100%. In the input select function inhibit the aux 2 channel.
