car bogs from low end to mid throttle
can anyone tell me about how many turns from closed to turn my low end needle. i have a cxp .18 engine. also it wont switch to 2nd gear. can anyone help? i have broken in my engine.It seems to bogg down from low end to mid throttle

No one can tell you the perfect setting for your LSN as this depends on many factors and will therefore be different between engines 
Is it a lean bog (whines, revs drop rapidly) or a rich bog (splutters, lots of oil coming out the pipe) ? Have you tried replacing the plug? Did the problem suddenly develop or has it been getting worse?
To fix the 2-speed the best i suggest you take it out of the car and rebuild it as-per the instructions.

oil does come out of the exaust. the car is brand new i got it for christmas, what factors would stop the car from hitting 2nd gear? i did replace the plug, i am thinking it has something to do with the clutch as the clutch bell has changed colors from silver to a purplish gold. how could i test the car to see if the low speed needle is set right? if it is not would that stop it from hitting 2nd gear?
