Has anyone had both of these motors and witch would you buy the second time? I am building a Revo from scratch and am somewhat new. I am having problems choosing. I have read good and bad things about the picco and nothing but good about the 523. One of the people that i race with has only picco and loves them so i am stuck help.

whichever you buy your going to like it....the Picco has tons of bottom end torque but lacks in the top end. they also are not built as well as the RB which is made by novarossi...one of the best makers of nitro in the world. the RB has a ton of power for a .23 and will beat the picco .26 in a race but is not as tourqey. there is a price difference but when you think about having to buy the picco, pipe and header it comes close to the price of the RB 523 Kit. which drops in the revo in about 20 mins.

both engines are bad a##,snoking is right the picco is a power house,developing allot of power fast,the rb is a very smooth engine,i run both,love both,either way your truck will fly

i dont have or have ever had a picco .26 but i have read so many posts about it i could probably do a review....lol
i know im being biased but i think the RB 523 is a better engine. i know its built amazingly and IMHO it out performs the picco...

i have both of these mills in two different revos.both are for black top racing,picco is modded,great power both low end and top,rb 523 is da same yet rb holds a tune ,piccos tend to have leaking front bearings which cause it to be a headache .i recomend da 523 . besides when u add it all up 523 is by far a better deal.

I have the 523. It screams. Best bang for the buck you can get. You will be very happy with this motor. Make sure you seal the motor against airleaks. Tuning took a little time, but is worth it.
