Default What fuel in 3.3

Well I finally got my revo. My question is what fuel to run. My hobby shop told me to run the top fuel 33%. These guys know there stuff, but I read on here some of you use other fuel. I am going to be racing. I want the best fuel for the engine (long life). If performance is a issue I can go to a bigger engine but would like to stay with the 3.3 for now . I hear these engines can get up to 6 gallons on them. I've been into nitro for a while so the breakin and tuning is not a issue, just looking into other options. You folks on here seem to know the revo inside out so I'm looking for your expert opinions.Thanks.

Traxxas fuel is the recommended fuel for Traxxas motors, however, due to it's high oil content, it may not be the best for racing. I suggest you ask the drivers at your local track what they use.

I am a newb but I was using rich's brew 20% and seized my first 3.3 in a week. It may have been my fault though. Since Traxxas took pitty on me and sent me everything I needed to rebuild for free I am using Top Fuel 20% and I have had no probs. It starts good and Glow plugs are lasting much better than with the rich's brew. I went through 4 plugs in the week/1.5 gallons with rich's and I am on my 2nd with a gallon of top fuel. My temps are good around 250 and it wheelies when I try to make it and runs very fast. It won't hurt to give it a try. I am happy with it. I am not racing but I see no need for it to be any faster. Proper tuning is all it takes to make them scream. I am really focused on a long life of my engine too. It takes a little longer to warm up but after that first minute it runs perfectly.

Good luck

I have been using Byron's Race 2000 20% for a good while has worked excellent in a 3.3 and Picco .26 Max.
