Just was wondering Bill if you have heard of the new plane that Great Planes is coming out with this month ? A 50" profile P-38 for two 15-25 engines, 416 sq in, 4-5 lbs & takes 6 servos . Looks like a nice twin beginners ship. >>>>>>>>big max 1935>>>>>>>>

yeah, I saw that for $99 bucks it may not luck that good on the ground but I'm sure it'll look ok in the air. I usually do ARF's but for a $99 P-38 I could build a little. Bet they sell a ton of these.

Max:

Yes, I saw it. Haven't decided if I want one or not. Two reasons. 1) It's a profile. Never cared for them. 2) It's too big to be a little one, and too little to be a big one. What that means is I don't have any loose engines in that range, and I also have four more larger twins to finish already here, and soon I'll have two more.

Yep. I expect the Super Duellist, which you know about, and also a Northeast Aerodynamics Twin-Air 15 is supposed to join my Twin-Air 45. And the Tiggerkitty. And the two Duellist 2/40's. And the C-3/10, along with the big Bridi F7F.

Which brings up another point. Where would I put it?

Haw.

Good to hear from you again.

Bill.

I saw this at my lhs and took it home. I thought it would be fun to play around with. Going with two 25 la's. Should start on it soon. Be advised though, after reading through the manual a little it's all one piece when your done. Shouldn't be a problem unless you drive an Escort.

MugenKidd:

What more excuse do you need to trash the Hindu and get a car?

Remember, no matter how big it is, with front wheel drive it's a roller skate. Real cars are rear wheel drive.

Before you scream. There are no front wheel drive racing cars. If front wheel drive were truly better, and not just cheaper to build, racing cars would be front wheel drive.

Real cars are rear wheel drive. No exceptions.

Except cars with all wheels driven.

Default come on now...

William I must say I read a lot of your post and have the upmost respect for you. But I have to say I am a honda fan and frontwheel drive isn't all that bad, and my civic has managed to haul everything I have with out much problem.

For example I once took my Byron F-16, intruder 90 pattern plane, and a helicopter to the field all at once. The seats let down and a lot of room is available. I also haul around my 1/4 scale extra and 80 in mustang in it without a problem.

I will admit that there are no super cars that are front wheel drive, heck even the Honda (acura in the US) NSX is rear wheel drive, but front wheel drives have proven themselves in the last 10 years, did you know that front wheel drive honda's are doing 8 sec 1/4 miles while stilling having a unit body chasis ( no tube frame). And in the SCCA T2 road course championship there are 2 main cars that compete BMW 3 series and the Acura integra and believe it or not the Acura's have consistantly done better against the rear wheel drive BMW's.

Another plus for front wheel drive is driving on the snow here in Oklahoma , its a lot easier to keep the front wheel drive car on the road.

Sorry everyone for wasting so much time but since were on the topic, "Mugen" is the Offical tuner for Honda Japan they do all of the factory honda formula one, and other racing duties, kind of like Ford's SVT. "Mugen" translates to unlimited... not that it means much but thats why I have my screen name here and else where.

Another ironic fact is that for example my honda civic is considered a "japanese" car, yet its almost totally manufactured in Ohio, and a Camero wich is your classic "american muscle car" is manufactured in Canada... kind of funny I think

O well once again sorry for taking up so much room, and William I want you to know I respectfully disagree with you, like I said I follow a lot of your postings and think your great.

MK:

Hope you understand I was merely trying to pull your chain, even though you drive a roller skate. Haw.

Picked up my current ride in Stuttgart 23 years ago, and I expect it to last at least another 20 years. And the parts I've had to replace say "Nippondenso" on them. The ones that say "Bosch," "ZF," and even "Delco" have given no problems at all.

On the trunk the sign says "500SE."

Yes, there are Japan parts on Mercedes, too. They are the parts that fail.

I'm not saying there aren't some nice Asian cars, whether assembled on the far side of the pond or here in the USA. But most, if you run them fifteen years or more, you will come close to having paid for them twice, if not three times.

I'm just a "Stick-in-the-mud," I don't like to replace things I'm comfortable with, and I don't like to buy something I wont be comfortable with.

And thanks for your complimentary words.

As I said to start with, just yanking your chain.

Bill.

LOL, yeah there's definately junk made all over the world. I work at a honda dealership, and I see the good and the bad. We had a CRX come in with 450,000 miles on it, and last year we had to warranty about 8 V-6 accord transmissions. Thanks for yanking my chain, its finals week at school and I apreciate the excitment, its much needed. LOL
