Default tc3 diff

I've got a tc3 team kit but i upgraded to factory except outdrives, i blew an outdrive and got new plastic ones and the diff won't tighten up i replaced the nut and bolt that i found in old diff rebuild kit so what could it be it get tight enought to have very slight drag. Also what should i put in the diff, associated black grease or something else.

You're saying you can't tighten the diff at all? Is it the same for both front and rear? Is everything the right fit? what happends when you tighten it?

I have a TC-3 and haven't needed to adjust the ball-diffs in a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. But, I did have an issue like this once because I blew a bearing in the axle/cup housing and the same thing occurred before I figured it out.

So it's not stripped... hmmmm

I'd take it back apart and rebuild it and make sure everything is ok

I think I had something like that happen to me. Make sure that you didn't build it backwards.
