Default I'm buying my first .21 engine. Any suggestions?

I own the HPI super Nitro and I purchased the 2-speed, and .21 conversion kit. I'm not too familiar with .21 block engines and I'm looking for suggestions. Price range with a max of $350.

Thanks guys,

why do you want a .21 engine?, for an on road car i recomend a .12 fantom, but since its the super nitro its a bit bigger so i suggest a .15 fantom or novarossi. they are around your proce range as well, but .21 is more torque then speed, .12 is fastest, but your car is big so you might need a lil torque, .15 is what i recomend

I actually already purchase the conversion kit and I will gain alot of torque with the .21 but also alot more HP. That should help boast the speed.

hp will not make you go faster. RPM's will. a .21 will help with speed if you gear it properly for onroad use. small clutch bell, big spur gear

Very true about the RPM but usually the .21 will give you more rpm's for example look at the serio outlaw the .12 provides less rpm's then the .21. I know it ways more though.

You've got it backwards, small spur gear bigger pinion gear.

But if you get a .21 gear the thing as tall as you can (up to about a 4.00 gear ratio, and you should be able to hit 70 or more.
