That darn muffler on the rear .............................. I had a real nice Slimline pitts on the rear that allowed me to hide the engine....but due to tail weight, I had to replace it with the stock DA muffler that is 8 ozs lighter. It really hurt to cut out the rear cowl to fit the stock muffler but it had to be done..... darn it........

3W 80 twin on the front and DA-50 on the rear....

That is an awesome airplane! Very nice job on it. That Skymaster looks incredible in the air, and sounds great, too. Holy smoke, bad to the bone is right.

Again, Great Job.

God Bless Ya,

Jay

The full scale plane in post #1 was taken of airliners.net. It is a firewatch plane on a island off the coast of Spain.......

Paul, its the muffler on rear engine that throws it off from full size one, other then that its awsome built model, can't tell difference between the two....

I would love to know your flying weight because it seems that you have power to spare. I bought a hostetler cessna 170 and it's built like a brick. The workmanship was first rate but it needed a 1/2" steel firewall to balance. Bottom line is does all his airplanes build heavy or did you find some areas to cheat on weight? BTW, my drool bucket is full. Can you come over and build mine. I can't get the pretty factor down!!!

Paul,

What a gorgeous creation, it looks awesome, very nicely done. The video was excellent, the only way it could have been any better was for me to be there. The way it flies, it doesn't look to be heavy. Your attention to detail shows, thanks for the pics and the video. Jus' one thing left to say, "I want one". Jim
