DZY 48 twin, cast case Chinese YW clone
These engines have silver spray painted cast crankcases, they do not have machined billet cases as stated in the December 2007 FlyRC review by Andrew Coholic. Also, the engines coming from RC Guys do not come with the velocity stack.

RE: DZY 48 twin
Those dents are punch marks to hold the magnet in place, too bad they are so far away from the magnet. The YW engines these are copied from had anodized aluminum cased machined from billet, but they also cost $200.00 more.
The casting in the photo is subpar and I have requested a replacement housing. The attached photo is of the starboard piston in a 48 twin sold as new which had been sent to the distributor in this condition from the manufacturer. It is obviously a rebuilt motor. I have been offered a heavy discount to keep the motor. Hopefully it will be ok.
