Default 2 RC10DS's

I'm working on building two RC10DS for a co-worker. He's going to give them to his son's. One 8 and one 6.

Anyway. We're looking for a good (ie reliable and cheap) stock motor for them to learn on. Obviously, it doesn't have to be fast, since these will be their first RC cars. The ability to run reliably with little maintenance is more important.

Any suggestions?

Maybe the tamiya silver cans? (27turn 540 size) reliable and cheap, good learner motors for kids

Thank you. On the same note, do you have a suggestion for ESCs?

I've got a LRP Runner Plus Reverse. I was thinking of just getting another one of those?
