Basically the hull is plowing in the water which is going to hurt handling and speed.. There are a few hulls that are made to perform better by running more on the wet side. I use two terms kind of what NASCAR does, wet is one and the other is loose. You can be loose to gain speed but like the roundy-round racers, too loose can be a bad thing. You have to find that happy balance.
