Default BVM Smooth Stop

Hi,
I have a BVM Smooth Stop that is missing the plunger which was lost in a crash.
The only part left is the purple aluminum piece with the brass sleeve and nipple at the other end. I know they sell just the plunger . My question is : Are there any other parts beside the plunger that go inside the brass sleeve ?
Thanks.

Figueroa,
The smooth Stop II plunger is available to retrofit the original Smooth Stop to the latest configuration.
Order P/N 5342....... price is $38.50.
Be sure to clean the inner bore before installing it, and use a small amount of O-ring lube on the three plunger o-rings to get a good seal.
BVM has Parker Super O Lube for $7.50....P/N 5779
It is good for all o-rings (landing gear valves, Smooth Stop, etc. One tube will last a lifetime.

Thanks Harley,
I will order the plunger and lube tomorrow. What is the best way to clean the inner bore. I used a Q Tip to get the grit out. Can I spray any type of solvent into the bore ? It sounds like there are a number of parts inside the purple casing.

Only three parts in the purple case.

1. The brass tubing you see is part of the piston (glued together to form one unit).
2. An o-ring
3. A spring

(There are actually three more parts if you want to be picky and count the aluminum cap and the two roll pins)

Figueroa,

Simply use a Q-Tip soaked in alcohol and swab the interior. Make sure no dirt or other debris remains inside.
Allow the alcohol to evaporate or blow dry, then inspect.
Repeat as necessary.
Lube the plunger o-rings (lightly...not excessivly)
Insert the plunger in the housing, and hook it up!
