Try using a flathead screwdriver to move the flywheel.

ok that will work...so do I put a little umph in it to see if it will move? Or will I risk breaking something?

Thanks for the info

Look at the bottom of your truck, and note the opening in the chassis through which the flywheel is visible. The flywheel has notches all around its circumference - using the edge of the opening for leverage try to force the flywheel to rotate. I've never done any damage to anything using this method, but caution should be observed.

Make sure you pull the plug too! It should make it a little easier.

If you get a brand new engine stuck at TDC before it has even completed the initial break-in, do not force it. On such an engine, get a hair dryer or hobby grade heat gun (a hair druyer on steroids) and preheat the engine to 200+ degrees F. THEN try to budge the piston form TDC (screwdriver on the flywheel, etc.). Dont ever force a band new engein from TDC while it is cold.

Moving such an unbroken-in engine fom stuck TDC while still cold is bad news. You risk ruining not just the piston & spleeve, but the conrod, the pins, and the crank (where it connects to the con-rod).

Also as soon as you turn your truck off turn the flywheel so the piston is at bottom. Its easier to move while hot. If it sticks at the top and cools its a pain to move. Put piston at BDC every time you turn truck off.
