BMI 1/12th Car
hey guys, after a long time of deciding which 1/12th i want, my lhs owner told me how great the BMI car is, and how he has one, and sold a bunch of them. He says theres a lot of support for them too at the track, which is weird, since its such a small company. I think i might buy it next week if his order comes in on time. Anyone hear anything else about these cars?

apparently, the company is a big aftermarket company, and this is their first car, and seems to be pretty competitive.

I would also check this one out http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/modules.p...article&sid=54 It's a very good 12th scale. Do you plan on racing it? 12th scale cars are pure race cars that's why I ask.

yeah, im gonna be racing it. probably stock first, and then work my way up. BMI is a small company, and i was suprised thats the car my hobby shop and track supports. its evidently pretty good, and a lot like the GEN-X. i just wanted to get some opinions, but theres not much of 1/12th support on RCU, even though its one of the fastest growing classes lately.

oh, thanks for the manual, ill look it over now, hope its not that difficult, lol. 1/12ths seem simple in design, so i hope the build is also short.

RE: BMI 1/12th Car
ugh, i read throught it, and theres like no decent pictures, the writing is fairly hard to understand, and i have a feeling therll be a scavenger hunt finding the right parts and screws. the picture for the axel is all the pieces next to each other, and it looks confusing.
actually, i just looked through Hot Bodies' directions, and they are just as bad, since theres no order in things, and its just a picture of where the things go, even though the simulated pictures are okay

The BMI manual is excellent. The pictures tell you everything you need to know and the writing itself is pretty self explanetory. If you've ever built a pan car it should go together like a piece of cake.
