Default Shaft collar mod

Hi,

I've just got some parts for my Feda heli one of which is the shaft collar mod.

I've not taken the swashplate etc off before and I was hoping someone could tell me how to get it apart.

I have taken the main blades off but I need to remove the locking head pin but I haven't got a clue how or what it is.

Any help would be appreciated.

David

look about half way down the rotor assembly, you'll see a very small steel pin (the end of) that runs through the plastic, through the shaft, and out the other side. There is only one.

Carefully (will require force) pull it right out with a pair of pliers.

You'll then need to disconnect the two servo arms from the rotor head ball sockets.

Now, gently work the WHOLE head off. It will be stiff because of teh black ruber tube that you are going to throw away....

It's dead easy

Default Shaft collar mod

Hi,

Thanks,

I'll give it a go.

I've got my brushless and everything except the brushless ESC (not delivered yet) so you can imagine how frustrated I am as I can't use any of the separates until the ESC arrives.

Cheers,

David

I know, I know :-)

At least it means you can take your time assembling the rest...
