If you have the need for more than 3 channels, or more than 2 proportional channels, then its the way to go... I have though about setting up my WK crawler with my DX7 and putting in rear steer... but just cant quite talk myself into using a stick radio in a surface vehicle.... I'm a pistol kinda guy.... If I ever made a scale vehichle with lights and what not, I would do it for sure though....
