Default OS FT 160 cam timing

I have an OS FT 160 twin apart and I just need to verify the cam to crankshaft timing. I see a small dot on the gear machined on the back of the crankshaft. The cam gear has a small hole in it, just below the cam gear ring. Do I align the small dot on the crankshaft gear with the small hole in the camshaft gear ??
TIA......Ed M.

The dot, hole, and crank and cam centers all line up. The dot and hole go next to each other between the centers of the gears.

Default RE: OS FT 160 cam timing

I just picked up a used Sig Cub with the OS 160 twin. I put about 10 flights on it and last night the crankshaft broke. I have torn it down and everything looks good. Except for some scuff marks on one of the rods and the broken crank. I was told it had been gone over resently by OS and it looks its. The bearings, cyl and rings all look new. My question is there a right or wrong way to install the crank into the housing. Thanks Ron

The crankshaft only installs one way. It's either installed or not installed.
