Wild Hare G-202 or Extreme Flight Edge?
I'm considering my first gasser, and I'm trying to stay in the $2,000 price range. Building time is non-existant, so I'm leaning toward a quality ARF. Thoughts on the WH G-202 / ZDZ 80 single package and/or EF Edge 540/ DA50 would be appreciated.

These prices are off the Wild Hare R/C web site. The only thing not on here is receiver and batteries. This gives you dual aileron servos and all digital/all new.
I might also add that there is no ARF that goes together faster than the Wild Hare planes. First timers can assemble one in 12 hours. I can do one in under 8.

I own, and fly, the WildHare Giles - see my website for detailed photos and comments.
It's a very good value, and Tom wasn't kidding about how fast the thing falls together. If you've done a GS before, it's REALLY fast.
It is a VERY aerobatic, agile, aircraft, yet easy to handle. One could do a LOT worse.

WH Giles
Absolutely fabulous airplane!
Perfect for a first giant scale aerobat. Extremely forgiving, easy to fly airplane. Flies better than most trainers.
Mine is set up with single 8411's on aileron, more than enough. I am using Futaba 9202's on elevator and a single S134 on rudder, all perfectly adequate. If I was a super hot shot 3D flier I would upgrade my elevator and rudder servos but for basic to advanced aerobatics my setup is fine.
I am using the ZDZ 80 with canister muffler. A fantastic engine! Awesome throttle response and bucket loads of power with a Bambula 26X10. Want quiet? Just switch to a Fuchs 24X12 and you will barely hear it using the RC Showcase canister muffler.
The WH Giles is absolutely the maximum bang for the buck in giant scale aerobats because of its low cost, low servo count and ability to use relatively inexpensive single cylinder engines.
You will be very happy with the WH Giles!
